The courses were elective (3rd language option for the students) and were taught by a visiting Korean lecturer. In 2005, Korean became a second major (or language B). Since 2005 students are offered Korean language training as well as courses in Korean linguistics, Korean civilization and literature. The courses are taught by a Romanian lecturer and a Korean visiting lecturer. In the future (2011) our university plans to enlarge the department and set Korean studies as a major (or language A).
