Born in Lucknow in 1934 he was the first head of this department which he founded in 1994. He was also a member of Salim Ali Centre of Arnithology and Natural History, Wild Life Institution, Dehradun, Wild Life Association of UK and World Wild Life Fund. Mohammad Rafiq, former principal of Fatehpuri Sr Sec School died in Delhi on 5 March. He served as a teacher in this school for 38 long years and retired as the principal of this School in July 1988 after diligently and sincerely performing his responsibilities.
