There are 20 language majors that enroll undergraduates, including English, Russian, French, German, Spanish, Protuguese, Japanese, Arabics, Mongolian, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Burmese, Indonesian, Philipino, Hindi, Sanskrit and Pali, Urdu, Persian, and Hebrew. The School of Foreign Languages has also offered courses in Latin, Malay, Bengali, Pahlavi, Akkadian, Sumerian, Hittite, Aramaic, and Tibetan. The studies in old Icelandic, Tahnyotho, Biblical Hebrew, Tocharian, Georgian, and Khotanese are being conducted and the number of language courses and studies is on steady rise.
