In 1692 Meer Shahbuddin Khan bestowed upon with the title of "Ghaziuddin Khan Firoz Jung'' the commander of Aurangzeb Armies, built a beautiful mosque of red stone and a tomb in front of Ajmeri Gate . He died in 1710 and was buried in the tomb which he had constructed for himself.
