After transferring the Capital of Pakistan from Karachi City to Islamabad in 1960, Embassy of Iran and the Cultural Counsel were shifted to Islamabad. The Cultural Counsel under the title of the Culture Center (Khaneh Farhang) was performing the activities from that time till today. The old place of the Culture Center was situated at 14 Seafield Road but after establishing new building at 4-B, Bleak House Road, Near Clifton Bridge on 1989, the Culture Center shifted with the facilities of a cultural complex includes Auditorium for film shows and gathering, Art Gallery, Persian language and Literature Class rooms and Library. The Culture Center of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi represents as a cultural institution of the Islamic Cultural & Relation Organization of Iran and responsible to coordinate, surveillance and execute the Cultural programs of Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi
